The nude photography business was very profitable. The first images, for their price, only moved in high places. When the negative-positive arrived it became less expensive and faster. It began to massify and so great was its boom that not even the laws could with it. In the press of the time, advertisements for the sale of erotic photographs by correspondence were frequent. 1
Some painters, such as Eugène Delacroix , began to experiment with photography. This caused many to leave their canvases to draw with light.
